That's an argument, but we often find dildos that are too soft a bit of a hindrance, as they often buckle/bulge when pushed in....we get along better with the normal/harder firmness of MHT and have never had any problems despite the 8 cm diameter and up to 45 cm depth. But of course it's also a matter of personal taste and empiricism.

Well when you're using incredibly large stuff you need the softness to make the turns in the bowel to reduce the possibility of tearing the bowel
